Securing portal apps

Your portal website is available on the internet for anyone to browse. If you expose data on web pages, you will need to secure the website and require users to authenticate. Once a user is authenticated, portal apps can apply security to pages, entity lists, and forms. 

In the following sections, we will look first at the authentication of users, and then how to control access for authenticated users.
