Chapter 6. Other Reporting and Business Intelligence Tools

By now, you should have a good understanding of what kind of reports are available in NAV 2009 and what kind of reports can be created using the standard NAV Report Designer tools. This chapter will give an overview of what is available outside NAV as reporting tools. In other words, what other tools are out there and how do you integrate them with Dynamics NAV.

Having said that, actually, it is almost impossible to give you a complete overview on what's available regarding Dynamics NAV and reporting tools. The main reason is that, when you use SQL Server as a database, it allows for many types of integrations with other systems. As a consequence, the list of external applications being able to connect to Dynamics NAV just keeps on growing and growing.
