Summary
In this chapter, we emphasized the importance of disaster recovery planning, backup and restore strategies, and troubleshooting various system issues. Every system administrator should be able to put their knowledge into practice when disaster strikes. Different types of failures will eventually hit the running servers, so solutions should be given in as soon as possible, to ensure minimal downtime and to prevent data loss.
This chapter represented the culmination of the Advanced server administration section of this book. In the next chapter, we will introduce you to cloud computing as a natural step and pinnacle of today's and tomorrow's computing landscape.
