Hiding and showing slides

You can use the Filmstrip to show and hide slides in your project using the following steps:

Make sure you are still in the Chapter04/takeTheTrain.cptx file.
In the Filmstrip, right-click slide 2 and select Hide Slide in the contextual menu. The context menu also shows you the keyboard shortcut for this operation (command + Shift + H on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + H on Windows).

Hidden slides are dimmed in the Filmstrip, and an eye icon appears just below the hidden slide, as shown in the following screenshot:

A hidden slide is still part of the project, but it is not displayed to the student taking the course.

Use the Filmstrip to return to slide 1 of the Chapter04/takeTheTrain.cptx file.

From there, use the Preview | Next 5 slides icon to preview your sequence in the Preview pane of Captivate.
Confirm that the second slide is no longer displayed in the Preview pane (that is, Captivate jumps from slide 1 directly to slide 3).
