Working with Advanced Layers mode
In this section, we'll have a look at Advanced Layers mode, how it differs from Basic Layers mode, and the benefits to using Advanced Layers within your Animate projects.
If you want to animate through Layer Parenting mechanisms, you must be able to use Advanced Layers mode within your Animate document. This is a special document setting that is on by default when using current versions of the software and allows for numerous advanced capabilities, such as Layer Parenting, Layer Depth, the use of the Camera, Layer Filters, and Layer Effects.
We'll first have a look at the two different layer modes available in Animate and a couple of items you should be aware of when choosing one over the other.
