For a successful migration, it is essential to prepare for the journey to cloud modernization effectively. Therefore, before planning the business objectives, it is essential to review some case studies and initiate some research. Table 2.2 shows a sample checklist for planning for the architecture design of resilient systems. The main goal of the assessment is to determine the maturity level of the modernization process for the legacy platform. Therefore, the next section of this chapter focuses on the determination techniques for the modernization maturity level for the organization.
