To get the most out of this book
This book assumes that you’re familiar with macOS, its basic commands, Finder navigation, and downloading apps through the App Store and files from the internet. There are plenty of guides online for getting used to the Mac. MacMost.com (https://macmost.com/mac-basics) is a long-standing fan favorite.
It will also be beneficial if you are familiar with using iOS/iPadOS, mostly in terms of using the Photos and Files apps. As for iMovie, no prior knowledge is assumed at all – it is what this book is all about, after all.
To follow along, you’ll need to download a .zip
file from https://packt.link/hT57O that contains all of this book’s interactive resources. Then, on both mobile devices and Mac, just type the link into your browser’s search bar, then tap or click Download. Make sure to keep the materials in a place you’ll remember so that you can keep coming back to them while you work through the exercises in the book.
