Understanding four typical data and analytics project characteristics
When beginning data and analytics projects, it is necessary to investigate who your stakeholders (internally and externally) are, as these projects span organizations, teams, and even business units (BUs). We also have to deal with multiple suppliers. This typical first characteristic is an important factor that is frequently overlooked.
The second typical data and analytics project characteristic is that we would like to do a project for our BU or a smaller type of organization. We often forget that these types of projects will have a mix of technological and strategic issues, as well as significant internal political issues.
