Technical requirements

There are three datasets used in this hands-on example. They are sample data and synthetic data, intended to replicate real-life scenarios, and they are based on industry advertising analytics use cases.

You may wish to use your existing Google Cloud project for this exercise or create a new one. If you wish to create a new project, follow these steps:

1. Within the console, click the project selector on the top menu bar to open the Select a project dialog box.
2. From within the project selection window, you can create a new project for this exercise.

To follow along with this chapter, bring each of these data sources into your BigQuery project.
