Summary
You have learned quite a lot about thresholds, baselines, and other parts of the Thold plugin. You have covered the basic steps of installing and configuring the Thold plugin and created your first threshold via the graph view page. You have learned about the differences between the three threshold types and created a baseline deviation-based threshold template. During the final part of this chapter, you assigned the threshold template to a data source and enabled the Thold daemon for increased threshold-monitoring performance.
You should now be able to create a set of thresholds and templates to monitor your network and receive alerts when performance issues occur. In the next chapter, you're going to learn how to create reports containing specific Cacti graphs and how to send them to your customers using scheduled email.
