In this chapter, you practiced two ways of making sheets of texture. You learned how the Array Modifier can take something as simple as a cube and transform it into a sheet of patterned bricks. You learned how to control the size and spacing of your pattern with Fit Type and offsets. You learned how an object's scale can impact the Array Modifier. For stonework, you imported an SVG file and converted it to a 3D mesh. Finally, you learned that both techniques can be combined and that the Array Modifier can be used with SVG files.
In Chapter 11, Applying Textures with Boolean Intersection, you'll learn about the third and final operation of the Boolean Modifier, the Intersection, and how it can be used to turn our large sheets of texture into the right sizes and shapes for the house.
