Creating model states in assemblies
In this recipe, you will use a different version of the HandleMS.ipt
screwdriver handle and combine this with other parts featuring model states to create model states and a configuration of the product in an assembly file.

How to do it…
Before starting these steps, ensure that you have the ScrewDriverModelStateAssem.iam
file open. We will link the model states for the HandleMS.ipt
and Shaft.ipt
files so that three total variations of the screwdriver are created, a long, medium, and short variant:

open, navigate to the top level of Model Browser. We need to create three corresponding model states at the top level of the assembly to drive the configurations. Right-click on Model States and select New. Repeat this twice to create three model...
