Summary
Working with forms is challenging but very satisfying. In this chapter, we touched on the principles of form design and layout and stepped through the process of automatically detecting field areas. The Prepare Form tool is only a starting point for the setup. We looked at all tools and settings available for each field. We tested the validation and calculation of input in fields and finally set up a process to collect the form data using submit action button to email the form to the form owner.
This is a good start to working with forms. It is an industry, so learning will be a long process if this is your main career task.
In the next chapter, we will learn how to ensure the integrity of .pdf documents, such as our form, by adding password protection, set up a digital identity, and create and validate electronic signatures.
