Who this book is for

This book is intended primarily for IT administrators who are looking to learn more about the latest Windows Server operating system available from Microsoft: Server 2012 R2. Those who are coming into this book as new server administrators, or maybe some of you are working on the desktop side and are interested in moving over to the server side of the house, will have the most potential for knowledge gain as we will cover topics within the core infrastructure technologies that more experienced administrators may take for granted. However, deeper into the chapters and scattered throughout the book are recipes that dig in further, causing even the more knowledgeable and experienced server administrators to maybe look at familiar technologies in a new light, or to accomplish a normal task in a new way.
