Identifying the resources required
With everything identified in terms of what needs to be done, the team will then identify what is needed to make those plans a reality. During this portion of the planning session, the requirements concerning the technical construct of the team will need to be flushed out along with the physical needs regarding how the team will operate. While the following list is not all-inclusive, it can be used to build a picture of the questions that need to be answered in order to build a successful plan for the team:
- What are the knowledge requirements for the team? For example, the particular type of network (IT versus OT), Linux versus Windows, or an understanding of a particular coding or scripting language?
- Will dedicated individuals be required to maintain any equipment?
- Will there be unique language requirements, such as Spanish or Japanese, to facilitate communication with the host organization?
