Creating custom shapes
Custom shapes differ from creating just another design in Tinkercad as the shapes you create will be accessible in the shapes library, just like any other shape we’ve used thus far. You can also turn any 3D design into a custom shape, whether it be made from a single shape or a collection of shapes that have been grouped together.
As an example, I’ve isolated one of the leaves from the palm tree design we made earlier and selected Your Creations in the shapes library, as shown in Figure 9.19:

Your Creations is where custom shapes can be created and accessed in all of your Tinkercad designs. To create a custom shape, you can select the part or parts of your design you wish to turn into a custom shape, then click Create Shape. This will bring up a new window, as shown in Figure 9.20:
