Promotional popups and announcement bars
Popups have come a long way since the early days of the internet and Squarespace has supplemented this tool with a simple but elegant announcement bar. Both options are easy ways to draw your user’s attention to sales, news, new products, or newsletter signup forms.
Popups
To create a promotional popup, navigate to Marketing from the Home menu and select Promotional Pop-up, found in the Engagement section of the list. From this page, you’ll be able to click into different sections to change the following variables:
- ACTION: Choose a newsletter form or buttons
- CONTENT: Add a headline and text
- DISPLAY & TIMING: Control when the popup appears
- IMAGE: Add an image
- STYLE: Change fonts, colors, and animations
Once you’ve designed the content and style of your popup, be sure to toggle on the button beside the text that says Display Pop-Up to activate your promotion on the site.
