Workflow implementation with Power Automate
For Power Automate, think workflows. Power Automate is the cloud replacement for SharePoint Designer workflows but is much more capable and extensible. While there are integrations with SharePoint Online, and that is where our primary focus will lie, Power Automate is its own M365 app that is capable of a variety of flows that connect and control cloud tools and processes as well as those on a device running Windows.
We get a glimpse of the capabilities by logging into the web app and creating a new flow. This shows the options for creating workflows in Power Automate, which we will explore next:

First of all, we see five different types of flows that can be created:
Automated cloud flow – Similar to an SPD workflow that triggers automatically based on an action, such as creating a new list item or receiving a new email.
