Chapter 3. Deploying Applications in Complex Environments
Complex scenarios can be defined by many things in the environment—adjusting communication ports for application delivery, handling particular applications, adapting company policies to the implementation, securing the environment, and so on. In this chapter, we'll be focusing on providing the necessary guidelines to adapt to each environment.
Other complexities we usually find are those related to the communication ports used by servers and clients, even when the environment requires no server interaction. App-V provides the necessary variety for us to adopt and handle these complications in a simple manner, using HTTP/S or SMB streaming, or even in the standalone scenarios.
Understanding and executing complex techniques to capture applications represents only half of the entire process of getting an application streamed down by clients; the publication and streaming process can get a little bit tricky.
