There may be times when you need to correct or update a customer's information. For example, if a customer's address changes or their primary contact changes, you will need to update your records with the new information. Updating customer information is easy to do in QuickBooks – all you need to do is navigate to the Customers center and select the customer that you need to make changes to.
Follow these steps to edit an existing customer in QuickBooks Online:
- Navigate to Customers by selecting Invoicing from the left-hand menu bar and then Customers, as shown in the following screenshot:
- Select the customer you would like to edit by clicking on the customer's name, as shown in the following screenshot:
