Network performance analysis
Once a network has been deployed successfully, the next important step is to measure the performance of the network. Network performance tests can be conducted at many points and in several ways in the network. Let us go over some of the basic network performance tests:
- Single UE test: A single UE is attached in a cell with no other devices in that cell and tested for maximum throughput. This test will give the maximum throughput that can be attained in that particular 5G cell.
- Single UE test in busy conditions: A single UE test in busy conditions gives us an idea of how the network performs in peak hours.
- Maximum aggregate throughput test: This test is conducted on a user plane function to determine its capacity.
- Load tests: These can also be performed to test the capacity of the backbone IP network.
- Maximum number of subscribers: This test specifies the maximum number of subscribers that can be processed by a site and can be tested...
