Working with the Terrain menu

Some projects don't require any specific terrain from us, but at the same time, we don't want to use a flat terrain. In the Terrain menu, we can find some tools that help us to quickly create mountains and modify other characteristics of our project. Let's see how we can use this menu.

Getting ready

Again, it can be useful to use a proxy of your building before changing the terrain.

How to do it…

Let's explore the Terrain menu and some tools that we can find inside it with the following steps:

  1. On the left-hand side of the screen, select the Landscape menu.
  2. By default, the Height submenu is selected and is represented by the icon with a mountain profile.
  3. Select the Terrain submenu that is represented by the icon with three dots, as you can see in the following screenshot:

  4. Now we have access to several tools to shape the look of the terrain.
