Understanding Content Credentials
Content credentials are like a special kind of proof that comes with digital files. They let creators add extra information about themselves and how they made something. This extra information helps creators get more recognition for their work, connect with others online, and be clear with their audience about what they created.
These Content Credentials are part of a group of technologies called the CAI. Adobe and over 1,200 other CAI members are working together to make a standard way for people to share digital content.
This standard keeps important details about who made it and when and how it was created. Adobe also helped start another group, the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA).
This group is creating a global standard for sharing this information, not just in Adobe products but across different platforms and websites. Content credentials are a way of using this standard in action.
