Summary

In this chapter, we discussed how to build a solid foundation for a cloud-first enterprise, as well as how to embrace and manage change across the people, processes, and technology functions within the organization. We reviewed the cloud adoption maturity model and the maturity assessment framework that can be tailored to assess, measure, and improve an enterprise’s cloud maturity. We also explored how to envision and establish a CCoE that acts as a central entity within the organization to advise and advocate cloud architecture and operational best practices to ensure success with cloud adoption and mitigate risks.

Then, we discussed how enterprises can build a robust foundation for cloud transformation by embracing a startup mindset, product thinking, and platform engineering.
