Where do we start? Complexities of an enterprise IT ecosystem
Today’s enterprise IT ecosystem spans beyond the boundaries of the physical enterprise. With organic growth and contributing business demands, enterprise IT management has become a challenge to administer and manage. Owing to market dynamics and growing customer demands, enterprises have grown beyond the perimeters of traditional data centers and have forayed into hosting services, SaaS clouds, edge computing (i.e. micro data centers), private clouds, public clouds, and integration with partner ecosystems. Although these initiatives have augmented business capabilities, there are natural challenges with data sprawl, data redundancy, anti-patterns arising from myriad application architectures, integration, vendor management, data security, privacy, and compliance.
