Connecting VNets using a vWAN
A vWAN is a networking service that optimizes network connectivity implementation in Azure. Here are some of the capabilities that it offers:
- Cloud network connectivity: Connecting VNets to each other and hybrid networks
- Private WAN connectivity: Connecting remote data centers to Azure and each other using the ExpressRoute gateway
- Branch connectivity and remote user connectivity: Connecting branch offices and remote users to Azure and other connected networks using Azure VPN Gateway (a Site-to-Site VPN or Point-to-Site VPN)
- Network security integration: Azure Firewall
As you can see, these capabilities are not unique to Azure vWAN, but it simplifies them and integrates them into a single service. The good thing is we don’t have to implement all the use cases of the vWAN all at once. We can get started with just one use case, and then adjust as our requirement evolves.
We will be covering the vWAN as a service, along...
