Time for action - deleting items

To delete an item from the Project Library, left-click on it, then look at the line of three icons just below the window's title (refer to the first screenshot of the previous section). The little x icon is no longer grayed out. Click on it and a Delete Item mini dialog box gives us one last chance to repent. Click on OK to really delete the file, or Cancel if it gets a last minute reprieve.

Warning: There is no recycle bin. Once you've deleted an item, it's gone. Of course, this is where all of us here have regularly backed up our projects and can always copy an item we've mistakenly killed back into the current project.

Note

Always keep regular backups of your projects. This habit can save you lots of work since you don't have to recreate accidentally erased or corrupted projects.

What just happened?

We now can delete items and know to have good backups, in case we delete something we really needed to keep.
