Summary

In this chapter, we introduced you to Spring Data JPA and MySQL. We created all classes needed to establish communication with the database. We didn't just make CRUD operations possible, but also demonstrated how to write custom queries for our application. In the next chapter, we will move one step forward in Spring development. We will limit access to certain parts of our API by introducing Spring Security.
