Streamlining Design with Grading Optimization
In the previous chapter, we provided a comprehensive overview of how we can incorporate reality capture into our projects from the get-go. Using proper workflows, we can increase the efficiency and overall accuracy of our design models moving forward. We highlighted some of the complexities experienced while managing reality capture data and the risk of inefficiencies if not utilized correctly.
Continuing the efficiency-gaining trends when it comes to generating our surface models developed within Civil 3D, we’ll shift our focus from generating existing conditions to proposed ones. In this chapter, we’ll cover a relatively newer tool that has been made available over the past several releases of Civil 3D, called Grading Optimization.
