Unity’s Third Person Character Controller assets
Many of the recipes in this chapter make use of Unity’s Third Person Character Controller starter project. We met this briefly in Chapter 4, Playing and Manipulating Sounds, and we’ll repeat those steps and take things a little further here.

How to do it...
To work with Unity’s Third Person Character Controller project, perform the following steps:
- Create a new Unity 3D project.
- Open a web browser tab to the Unity Asset Store, by choosing Asset menu: Window | Asset Store.
- Search for the free Starter Assets Third Person Character Controller.
- Select the assets, and when viewing their details, click the Add to My Assets button.
- In the Unity Editor, open Package Manager to list your Asset Store assets by choosing menu: Window | Package Manager From the Packages dropdown choose My...
