Exploring Tempo Follower, Follow Action, Max for Live, Working with Video, and Ableton Note
After looking at the amazing world of MPE that was introduced in Live 11, in this chapter, we are going to start off with another exciting new feature that is called Tempo Follower and will allow us to sync our session tempo with an external incoming signal. We will also look at Follow Action and the updates added to this feature with the release of Live 11, which is fun to use for both the studio and stage.
After Follow Action, we will take a small tour of the world of Max for Live (M4L), which is a truly unique feature for Ableton Live users. To close off an exciting and informative chapter of fun music-making features and ways of playing music, we will also quickly explore how we can work with video in Live to compose sound for a motion picture.
