Introduction
This chapter will cover the steps that need to be taken to publish content to Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud. Tableau Server is a self-hosted service for sharing Tableau content with end users and working collaboratively with other developers, and Tableau Cloud is the same but is hosted on the cloud. Along with publishing content, exporting content from the server/cloud will also be covered in the chapter. Managing content to ensure that data is kept up to date and end users are notified about content if needed will also be discussed.
Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud are, for the most part, the same and function as a way for Tableau developers, who will either have the role of a Creator or an Explorer, to share content with end users who may be Explorers or Viewers.
