Understanding RISE with SAP

In this section, before we start explaining what RISE with SAP is and how it can address the industry shifts and trends discussed in the earlier chapters, let’s focus on typical industry challenges around the move to the cloud. Organizations are still figuring out a plan of action for an opportune business case to support their move to the cloud while leveraging the benefits of SAP Business Technology Platform to the fullest extent possible. At the same time, organizations are also looking for simplification of the vendor ecosystem to move away from a separate contract with a technical managed services vendor and SAP when it comes to end-to-end product SLAs. The following diagram provides a summary of what the reality is when it comes to the importance of a hybrid cloud and how it overlays with the move toward S/4HANA for clients:
