Looking at cost optimization strategies

The fastest approach to reduce cloud and platform costs is through shutting down what you don’t need. The biggest problem is that everyone involved in that process might have some reason why they require the infrastructure as it is. But I would like to turn your perspective on this topic from here onward: Cost optimization is nothing that we should introduce afterward. Here’s yet another principle you should consider: Be cost-aware and effective, considering it in the design of the platform.

The more cost optimization potential can be found in a platform, the worse we have done in our job as platform engineers and architects.
