Zero Trust principles and architecture
When it comes to reaching the goal of implementing a Zero Trust strategy at the maximum capability, the first company that comes to mind is always Microsoft. There are many other vendors trying to promote Zero Trust, but because of the truly powerful native integration benefits that come with Microsoft, it is always the first choice that comes to mind.
Apart from Microsoft, these days we see plenty of Zero Trust security strategies from different vendors, such as BeyondCorp from Google, LISA from Netflix, NIST, CISA, Gartner’s CARTA, and Palo Alto. Irrespective of what we choose, the end goal is the same: to improve security, never trust and always verify, and harden the attack surface.
Here, we will discuss a few Zero Trust architectures from different providers, but our focus is mainly on Microsoft’s Zero Trust.
