The security context for a real-time workflow can be chosen when editing the workflow. The Execute as setting has two options. You can choose whether the workflow should run as the owner of the workflow or run as the user who made the change that triggered the workflow. The workflow will use the security privileges of the selected option.
To run with elevated privileges and perform steps that users are not able to, you should set Execute as to run the workflow as the owner of the workflow.
