Monitoring the health and update status of Office apps
The modern Microsoft 365 apps suite runs on a servicing channel that is independent of Windows and Windows Update. As a result, Office product updates are not delivered through the typical Windows updates servicing cycle. Office apps consistently remain a popular target for attackers who wish to exploit software bugs or security policy misconfigurations to launch malicious code, so it's important to have insight into the health and update status of Office apps. This helps ensure effective servicing and that you remain protected against the latest vulnerabilities.
