Organizing your media


Organizing your media for this project is going to be a departure from what you've covered in previous projects. Here, you will take Project 5, save it under a new file name, then delete some of the effects in preparation for adding the new ones. If you haven't attempted Project 5, it is strongly advised that you do so now. Although you may have no interest in creating effects using Premiere Pro's stock filters, you will gain valuable information on the use of masks.

Prepare for Lift Off

Once you have completed all the preparations detailed in the Mission Checklist section of this project, you are ready to go. Launch Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 in the usual way, and then proceed to the next part.

Engage Thrusters

Organize your project by following these steps:

  1. Once Premiere Pro CS6 has finished launching and the Recent Projects splash screen appears, select Hotshots - Special Effects 1. When the project has finished loading, select File | Save As, and save under the project named...
