Summary

We started this chapter looking at some of the basic governance preceding tuning activities to define its strategy, lifecycle, processes, and human resources. We reminded the importance of consulting tuning guides for portal and portal components, but also for other runtimes integrated to portal that can be part of a performance bottleneck. We then looked at some basic problems with response time, throughput. Finally, we looked at WEF-specific tuning test cases.
