Let's look at the Serverless Platform that Google Cloud Platform offers.
Google Cloud introduced Google App Engine back in 2008, which was its PaaS offering, used to deploy your applications to GCP without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure. You still had to choose the web server framework to deploy your application. This is similar to AWS Elastic Beanstalk. Google Cloud Platform has launched many other serverless offerings over the years, such as Google BigQuery in 2010, Google Pub/Sub in 2015, and an FaaS offering called Google Cloud Functions in 2016. Let's look at some of the different serverless offerings that Google Cloud Platform has built over the years in the Application Development and Analytics and Machine Learning areas.
