With the knowledge gained in this chapter, you should now have a better understanding of the things you encountered in Chapter 2, Getting Started with the Azure Cloud.
In this chapter, we explored all the Azure components that are needed before you can create your workload in Azure:
- You'll need a storage account for the VM boot diagnostic extension.
- You'll want a storage account to store data outside your VM.
- Networking components are needed to be able to communicate with your VM, enable communication between your machines, and for the VM to be able to reach the internet.
The steps we have discussed so far will be very useful for you to understand the components related to VMs and also how each of those components is deployed in Azure. We started with storage solutions in Azure and then covered networking as well. We hope this gave you an idea of how these components come together to provide service delivery.
