Developing a Comprehensive Modern Cybersecurity Strategy
Cybersecurity is a complex world, and it is not easy to find your way through.
This chapter will demonstrate how old strategies have become insufficient to battle on the levels of complexity. For instance, the traditional approach of creating a strong perimeter defense system, often referred to as a “moat and castle” strategy, was used to protect internal networks. This strategy, while effective against certain threats, fails to account for more sophisticated attacks and internal threats. Therefore, this chapter is not a refresher but rather shows a new perspective on how cybersecurity can be better intertwined with core business goals.
