Hyperledger Fabric is a blockchain framework implementation—a combination of digital ledger technology (DLT) and a Smart Contract Engine. It was first created by IBM and Digital Asset, and then open sourced in 2016 under the Hyperledger project, hosted by the Linux Foundation. It is a platform with a modular architecture for all kinds of distributed ledger solutions. It seeks to deliver a high degree of confidentiality, resiliency, flexibility, and scalability.
