Sharing clips/backing-up clips
Please review items 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the Introduction section of this chapter.
For this second recipe in this topic of actually copying media files (the previous one is the first recipe), the situation is as follows: you are not in a shared media situation (for example, Avid Unity, ISIS, or Interplay) and your workmate brings in a fixed hard drive and asks you to give them a copy of one or two entire shots (we'll cover making copies of/Consolidating Subclips later in this chapter). Or, similarly, you want to make a back-up copy of your media files onto another drive.
How to do it…
In a bin, select the clip(s) that you want to share or back up.
In the previous Copying a borrowed clip's media recipe, follow only steps 5 through 14.
