Moving media files
Please review items 1, 2, and 3 in the Introduction section of this chapter.
There are a few common reasons you may find yourself in need of moving media files:
You've captured, imported, Consolidated, or rendered media files onto the wrong hard drive or partition (for example, a drive that belongs to another editor or project)
A drive is failing and you need to get the media onto a healthy drive
You may want to take a copy of all your media, or just a specific portion of it, outside of your editing room to be edited with a laptop system on set, in a client's office, or on an airplane
A drive or partition is getting very full and you want to create space to give the Media Database files room to increase in file size
