Summary

In this chapter, we got an understanding of some of the factors that are directly responsible for the increasing use of AI in the healthcare and life sciences industry. We also looked at some common trends that AI is influencing, from curing incurable diseases to the use of IoT, robotics, and digital twins. We also summarized a few topics to watch out for. These topics are new, with limited real-world data around their successes, but they have a lot of potential for impact.

This chapter concludes our journey. The guidance in this book summarizes the years of learning that I have personally gone through and continue to experience. Through the chapters in this book, I have tried to summarize the use of AI/ML in healthcare and life sciences in a structured and accessible manner.
