After understanding how a tight plan with fully automated futures works, we will now move on to managing a looser semi-automated plan on stock lists.
In my experience, the stock market, particularly the US market, yields optimal trading results in daily, weekly, or even monthly timeframes. Indeed, within mature markets (such as the US, Europe, and the UK), the trading environment is too crowded for intraday strategies to consistently succeed, although this viewpoint is based on personal experience.
This suggests that algorithms used for stocks do not necessarily require real-time trading. This approach not only proves more effective over the long term but also allows traders or management teams to avoid high-stress situations associated with rapid execution and overtrading, which can undermine trading success both psychologically and financially.
