Understanding the gaps in your soft skills
Take the time to review the soft skills we’ve discussed and assess where you are with this. Which ones do you need to work on that are going to be harder and which will be easier to tackle? This cannot all be addressed immediately, so I would recommend that you identify one or two of these soft skills and add them to your SKEB analysis to tackle these gaps.
Here is an example of a SKEB analysis that I did for myself. I hope this helps you with using this approach to figure out what the areas to focus on are, and then which of these to concentrate on. In this example, I have identified four potential competencies, and would then select one or two of these to tackle first:
