The SFA maturity model


Salesforce is a complete matured tool for sales and service process management. You may have to write some business logic using workflows and triggers and approval processes along with the sales module of Salesforce.

The Salesforce sales module consists of the following:

  • Account management: Account management in Salesforce is robust. The account object in Salesforce can be used for business-to-business or business-to-customer modules.

  • Contact management: Salesforce provides a contact object to store contacts.

  • Lead management: The lead conversion process of Salesforce provides a mechanism to convert leads into accounts, contacts, and opportunities.

  • Opportunity management: Salesforce provides an opportunity object, and the stage field plays an important role in opportunity management.

  • Quote management: Salesforce has quote items. You can use Salesforce to generate quotes, and these quotes can be mailed in a PDF format. The process from quote to cash can be complicated...
