Technical requirements

This chapter requires you to have the following components installed and configured.

For a local macOS installation, you need the following:

• macOS Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, or later
• Docker Desktop for Mac 10.14
• minikube v1.9.0 or later
• pachctl 2.0.0 or later
• Pachyderm 2.0.0 or later

For a local Windows installation, you need the following:

• Windows Pro 64-bit v10 or later
• Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) 2 or later
• Microsoft PowerShell v6.2.1 or later
• Hyper-V
• minikube v1.9.0 or later
• pachctl 2.0.0 or later
• Pachyderm 2.0.0 or later

For an Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) installation, you need the following:

• kubectl v.18 or later
• eksctl
• aws-iam-authenticator
• pachctl 2.0.0 or later
• Pachyderm 2.0.0 or later

For a Microsoft Azure cloud installation, you need the following:

• kubectl v.18 or later
• Azure CLI
• pachctl 2.0.0 or later
